Artist’s Note: "Wave While Passing is a visual meditation on connection, transition, and acknowledgment across a distance. Drawn entirely by hand in my Tucson studio, the piece creates a beautiful dialogue between two separate worlds housed within circular portals. In the larger upper circle, a striking crimson hand reaches horizontally over a purple stepped pueblo horizon, balanced by a brilliant yellow sun rising from white mountain crests. Below, a smaller pink-rimmed portal responds with a resting brown hand positioned beneath a vibrant teal sky medallion. Cascading down from these celestial windows, fluid, wavy streams drop like water or light into the dark expanse, symbolizing the lines of communication that bind us together even as we move along separate paths."
